Electrical Engineer responsible for supporting/leading the execution of electrical and electrical systems work for Onshore and Offshore Oil and Gas projects. Process and applications knowledge will be used for work associated with Crude and Natural Gas Pipelines, Compressor Stations, FPSO, Offshore Drilling and Production, Electrical Generation, and similar projects.
This position requires knowledge of industry standards for International and USA as applied on Onshore and Offshore Oil and Gas projects. Typical applications will require knowledge of HV, MV and LV electrical equipment, ETAP based electrical power system analysis, integration to automation and PLC systems, prefabricated equipment shelters, and variable speed drives.
Develops the material specifications, schematics, system functional design, and monitors or participates in the fabrication and testing of the system. Produce electrical assembly, manufacturing, arrangement drawings and material lists for rotating machinery package systems.
Coordinate with sub-contracted engineering services and other electrical engineers and CAD personnel.
Education:
BS in electrical engineering, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrates and applies fundamental knowledge of professional principles and engineering skills through successful completion of assignments. Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of electrical engineering in daily project tasks. Have knowledge of high voltage generators, motors and their associated control and protection systems. Have knowledge of gas-turbine systems, turbo-compressors and associated auxiliary equipment.
Typically up to 15 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable.
Key Working Relationships:
Primarily contacts are with immediate manager, lead engineer and others in the group. Will work in diverse internal teams and must demonstrate good teamwork and communication skills.
