Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer - Performs engineering work of various types to collect and analyze data at customer sites (nuclear) using specialized data acquisition equipment and analysis software that is designed and manufactured for the purpose at the company

The Electrical Engineer should:

Be willing to travel and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Be able to work within an engineering team to design or re-design these systems and develop a thorough knowledge of them including their operation, maintenance, and repair
Possess an excellent background in electrical or related engineering and science principals as well as practical and hands-on experience with the use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic equipment
Candidate should possess a working knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications (such as word processors, spreadsheets, and databases) and programming
Be able to clearly express his/her thoughts verbally and in writing
Work as part of multidisciplinary teams, not only with other engineers, but also with marketing and sales staff, technicians and customers
Multi-task and show the ability to work in a supervisory capacity as career progresses.

As an engineer, the candidate will:

Confer with other engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.

Operate desktop and laptop computer systems and be able to use specialized company software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Direct and assist with manufacturing, construction, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing of custom made electronic equipment working with a very competent crew of electronics technicians.

Be able to perform detailed calculations and analysis using company software tools.

Participate, develop, and implement new research ideas as directed by others and be able to apply good engineering practices and electrical theory to engineering research projects.

Prepare equipment specifications for marketing material and for the purchase of materials and equipment.

Be able to prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and site maps in the performance of work.

Compile data and write reports of completed projects and analysis of data taken at customer’s sites and from research projects.

Conduct field service testing to collect data for analysis.

Other technical and non-technical tasks as assigned.
