Excellent opportunity for Electrical Engineer to design microprocessor based medical device products. The design engineer will be responsible for hardware design and testing for new products, and support of software / firmware development. Requirements include BSEE with minimum of 4 years experience in electrical design for 8, 16, and 32 bit microprocessor based products, including analog and digital design for biological signals, and schematic capture / board layout (Orcad, Altium). Prefer software development experience with C / Assembly in an embedded environment, and requires product development experience in a regulated environment—FDA preferred.
Working within a small development group, the engineer will be responsible for new product design and hands-on prototype development, and support the troubleshooting of analog, digital, and microprocessor based circuitry to component level. Will also create bills of material, work instructions, test procedures and documentation required for manufacture of electronic medical products. Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work closely with outside vendors, contractors, and customers.
