ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - MAY GURNEY UTILITIES

LOCATION: WATFORD/NORTH LONDON

SALARY: NEGOTIABLE + CAR ALLOWANCE + MAY GURNEY PENSION + 25 DAYS HOLIDAY

Are you an Electrical Engineer with previous electrical installations experience? Do you have a working knowledge of maintenance and fault finding on domestic business systems? Do you have a water or manufacturing background with experience of maintaining pumping stations?

May Gurney are looking for a Electrical Project Engineer to carry out Electrical Installations and Modifications across their British Waterways contract and other areas which require this element of expertise. Also includes MEICA Services Sector on Domestic and Industrial Applications.

Key Responsibilities

- To carry out electrical installations in a wide range of applications both domestic and industrial.
- To be capable of understanding specifications and electrical drawings.
- To carry out routine electrical/mechanical maintenance of domestic and business premises and industrial plant in accordance with our customers specifications
- To carry out fault finding and reactive maintenance
- To be proactive
- To operate in an on-call capacity if required.
- At times there may be a requirement to stop away from home for short periods depending upon where the employee resides
- Any other responsibility deemed necessary to complete the role

Candidate Requirements

Essential
- Previous experience of electrical installation systems
- Experience of maintaining pumping stations
- Working knowledge of maintenance and fault finding on domestic and business systems
- Practical experience of Inspection and Testing
- A current UK driving licence
- Industry applicable apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent

Desirable
- CG 17th Edition IEE Regs (2381)
- CG Test and Inspection (2391)
