As a result, we are in currently searching for an experienced Electrical Engineer at principal level for a large scale greenfield coal mining project. You will have Owner's Team or tier one EPCM experience and possess a demonstrated understanding of complex coal projects. To complete your profile, you have good leadership and communication abilities, and are able to build relationships at various levels of an organisation. As the successful candidate, you will have a overall project managment background, involved in overseeing the design and construction of coal projects. You duties include:-
- Providing strategic guidance to the engineering and design team for the electrical section of the project.
- Acting as the conduit between the engineering team and other key project members.
- Establishing standards for the electrical section of this mega coal project.
- Overseeing the performance of the engineering service provider against the plan, and initiating corrective action when necessary.
- Liaising with operational staff to achieve works which smoothly transition to operations.
- Ensure safe working conditions through out the entire process.
- NB we also have a similiar role for a Principal Electrical Engineer (Underground)
Your tertiary qualification will be in electrical engineering and you will have a proven track record at management level within large scale coal projects.
