Desired skills Systems Engineering Antenna Testing Antenna Theory Specific Job Description This position requires a background and/or appropriate training in Radio Frequency electronics and antenna theory and test. Specific training and/or experience in General Systems Engineering is a plus. The selected candidate will perform Engineering functions in support of Radio Frequency monitoring systems primarily at Vandenberg AFB. The candidate will be expected to possess or develop the necessary technical expertise to deal with a variety of RF Engineering issues and to deal with technical experts in a variety of RF specialties. Engineering support for periodic calibration and upgrade coordination including evaluation, coordination and approval of design changes is also required. Operational Engineering tasks will include planning, requirements integration, test procedure development, generation of work authorizing documents and real-time operations and oversight. Personnel must be able to work in a launch site environment with the ability to climb stairs and evacuate the launch complex wearing breathing apparatus if required. Applicant must be willing to travel and to work overtime and odd shifts if required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for special access.
