International Electrical Engineer for a leading company

One of our close clients is an international company with a great influence in the chemical sector. With more than 7500 employees, their core business consist out converting minerals, energy, … to essential products for industries. To fulfil their permanent engineering team, they are currently looking for an Electrical engineer.
Job description:
- Make technical specification for equipment used in chemical plants, e.g. control valves, electric systems, motors, DCS, safety systems etc.
- Review/make calculations, review drawings and other relevant documentation
- You will act as a resident engineer in large projects to follow up external engineering contractors
- Be a partner in the technical communication with suppliers/ manufacturers; assist the purchasing department in the commercial negotiations
- Follow the market with respect to above described equipment
- Follow-up of fabrication and expediting at manufacturers shops
- You will assist/perform acceptance tests
- You will be responsible to follow up different projects abroad, with a first short term project in Canada.
Profile
- Study: Master degree in a relevant engineering subject
- Relevant experience of minimum 8 years
- Open and positive attitude and able to communicate and interact well with/in different cultures
- You have a hands-on mentality
- Willingness to travel in an international environment
- Language skills: English is necessary; additional languages are a plus
