Analog IC Design Engineer

Location: Ottawa ON

 

Design / development of analog /mixed-signal communication based Integrated Circuits (ICs) including all phases of development from concept to manufacture. Responsible for IC architecture design and detailed design specifications. Produce IC level requirements, architecture design, system modeling, circuit concept development, design and risk analysis. Produce designs from schematic capture through layout verification and participate in laboratory qualification testing of ICs. Contribute to test strategies, device characterization and qualification. Previous experience with analog IC development of DACs, opamps and comparators etc. Experience with design tools such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Matlab. Experience with CMOS process technologies and broadband communication technologies. B.Sc. /M.Sc. Electrical Engineering with related experience.

 

Avionics Engineer /Lead

Location: Vancouver BC

 

Design avionics modifications and liaise with appropriate departments and organizations for resolution of issues pertaining to design data interpretation and design deviations. Must be familiar with regulatory authorities procedures and processes for the approval of any design deviations generated. Develop design documents for demonstrating compliance to the appropriate regulations. Liaise with Transport Canada for design approval. Develop functional tests which ensure proper maintenance of equipment. Assist with troubleshooting aircraft systems. Manage resources to achieve assigned project goals. B.Sc. Electrical Engineering or related training with demonstrated experience.

 

Electrical /Avionics Engineer

Location: Montreal, QC

 

Electrical Design Engineer responsible for the design and integration of aircraft electrical equipment. Development of avionic specifications, functional allocation, design modeling and reviews for aircraft modifications. Assist with aircraft testing and troubleshooting by use of avionic test equipment. Apply standards /specifications to harness and electrical drawings and provide technical assistance to engineering team. Prepare technical drawings, engineering flight test plans and operational documents. Knowledge of avionics systems engineering including specifications, statements of work, functional allocation and hardware /software integration. Knowledge of aircraft certification standards for electrical systems. Previous experience with flight management systems, auto-pilot systems, aircraft power systems, navigations systems, wiring standards and EMC practices. Experience with CATIA or related software. B.Sc. /M.Sc. EE with related avionics design experience.

 

Flight Controls Systems Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON

 

Analyze aircraft level requirements and develop actuation system and subcomponent design requirements for flight control systems. Develop and validate flight control system and component designs. Develop and document system interfaces. Development, review and capture of customer requirements, support development of core flight control capabilities and apply across multiple platforms. Provide authorship, allocation and validation of system and subcomponent requirements. Support development of system safety analysis, ICD’s and onboard maintenance functions. Support system integration test activities through planning, procedure development and traceability coverage. Support customer on-site activities and serve as facilitator with customers, major suppliers /partners and certification authorities. Previous experience with systems engineering for primary and secondary fly-by-wire flight control systems, electrical and hydraulic actuation, flight control architectural development /analysis and level A system development processes. Strong working knowledge of actuation systems, data buses, sensor interfaces, system monitoring, IBIT development and rigging. Experience with techniques and tools used for system analysis and validation. Domestic and international travel is required. B.Sc. /M.Sc. Electrical Engineering or related with demonstrated experience.

 

Electrical Systems Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON

 

Systems Engineer requires advanced formal engineering, system analysis skills and ability to translate customer requirements into high level technical specifications. Responsibilities include interfacing between Systems Engineering, customer and implementation teams in order to generate the projects high-level requirements documents, support architecture analysis, bid processes and engineering department processes. The ability to interface with the customer during systems tests and integration tests is required, as well as the ability to oversee internal tests during the Validation and Verification activities. Provide technical support and clarification on the system related issues during all the phases of the program. Active participation on the creation of high-level specifications based on customer requirements. Prepare functional block diagrams and architecture analysis based on systems requirements. Guarantee traceability from high-level project documents to customers’ requirements. Coordinate multidisciplinary tasks related to system safety, reliability requirements and verification activities. Support technical/commercial proposals for new bids and customer changes requests. Ensure on schedule delivery of high quality high-level requirements documents. Active participation on program risk assessment. Provide effective coaching and mentoring to other team members. Provide support on the engineering process definition and training. Must be able to reliably meet deadlines and effectively handle conflicting priorities with limited supervision. B.Sc. / M.Sc. Engineering with related experience.
