DUTIES: Back to top -Supervises a crew size ranging from 6 to 10 members in the respective trades/crafts or other employees involved in mult-craft work projects. -Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences to meet overall work objectives, plans, and schedules. -Determines requirements for tools, equipment, and related materials and supplies for work projects. -Assists in coordinating the electrical portion of clearance and confined space permit procedures for the safe shutdown, entry into, and start-up of all main plant equipment. -Directly supervises and oversees work accomplishments of electricians and supporting staff assigned to the crew. -Recommends improvements or other changes to the crew's function or the maintenance program undertaken. -Maintains a working knowledge of all skills supervised. -Ensures safety of all personnel, as well as contract or other personnel undertaking electrical maintenance activities. -In compliance with established criteria, sets performance standards, conducts interim and annual performance reviews, and makes formal appraisals of work performance.
