Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Tech

ELECTRICAL MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Our client is a family owned and operated company. They are one of Canadas leading producers and have been producing for over 50 years. Their clients are major grocery store chains, food service operations and large bakery / industrial customers throughout Canada.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this permanent full-time position is responsible for completing maintenance and project tasks alone or with other staff or contractors in a safe and proper manner.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

  • Diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and repairing as necessary

  • Performing routine maintenance

  • Able to troubleshoot and repair PLCs

  • To ensure safe work practices are followed

  • To ensure maximum equipment availability to production

  • To minimize costs for plant maintenance and capital projects

    Qualifications:

  • Certified Electrical Engineering Technologist or Red Seal Electrician status preferred

  • Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance (electrical) experience

  • Ability to ready schematics and building drawings

  • High knowledge and demonstrated techniques of using maintenance tools, repairing machinery, providing preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and problem diagnosis

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work in a fast paced team environment

  • Available for overtime if required
