Job Description AECOM is searching for power distribution professionals with significant field experience to assist in FEMA recovery efforts in various locations following a large storms or other natural disasters. Candidates can include construction field personnel and Electrical Engineers. Typical assignments are between 30-120 days and can occur throughout the United States. Most assignments involve: - assessment of disaster damages to the power distribution facilities of rural electric cooperatives - development and review of work required to repair/upgrade/replace damaged distribution facilities - development of cost estimates for the work Reasonable airfare, hotel, rental car plus per diem for meals and miscellaneous expenses paid at government rates. Assignments typically allow travel home approximately once per month for a long weekend. Compensation is dependent on level of experience. Qualifications: - Only candidates capable of working 50-70 hours per week for up to 120 days will be considered - A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred - A minimum of 10 years of total experience with at least five years experience in power distribution is preferred - All candidates must be self-motivated, team players with good organizational, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills - US citizenship required - Applicants selected will be subject to a thorough government security investigation and possess a valid driver's license to meet FEMA requirements
