Our client is the leading provider of Power supplies and due to enormous growth they require an experienced Electrical Protection Engineer to provide professional expertise in the Electrical design sector.
Main Duties for Electrical Protection Engineer:-
- Approve protection / automation system new design and design changes.
- Ensure that designs comply with current legislation.
- Integrate substation, automation system and communication equipment protection.
- Update and develop secondary system design standards, and associated template drawings.
- Develop protection, control, commissioning policies and standards.
- Maintain the protection system design database
- Provide direction and input into the plant and equipment ratings database.
- Undertake secondary system design reviews.
- Provide support to construction personnel during a development.
Person Specifications for Electrical Protection Engineer:
Ideally you will have over 5 years experience working within the Protection Design Department of a utility company. You will be degree qualified with a BS in Electrical Engineering and equivalent work experience.
You will have proven Design skills and have experience with protective relay applications and industry practices.
