Electrical Renewable Energy Estimator
Due to the growth of one of the countries leading energy companies we have an immediate need for a driven, successful, Renewable Energy Estimator with a focus in wind energy. This individual will be part in a huge portion of the company’s annual revenue. The team for this division is very small in comparison to the amount of revenue generated, so you will be a crucial portion of the team. What you need:
- Bachelor or higher degree in construction, related (civil structural, mechanical or electrical) engineering or architecture (preferred)
- Extensive Experience in Electrical Estimating in the wind industry and construction industry, substation experience a plus.
- Individuals must be able to bid projects simultaneously
- Candidates must be able to lead, manage, and be part of a team
- Qualified individuals must be able to travel to the project sites
- Must be able to complete the projects on-time and under budget
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Applicants must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Must have excellent attention-to-detail skills
- Individuals must be able to reach deadlines
- Qualified applicants must have excellent computer software knowledge
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine if the project is suitable for the organization.
- Complete approved estimates in a timely manner
- Complete change orders in 2 days, or less
- Read, and understand the scope, and all associated notes, to ensure a complete and accurate take off
- Review physical site constraints, insurance requirements, and permit requirements
- Analyze and compile data on each factor that may have an impact on cost, including labor, materials, special capitol equipment, tools, and training
- Follow up on presented bids
