Electro Mechanical Technician

Role Synopsis At Baker Hughes the purpose of this position is to provide specialist support of maintenance activities on oilfield electro-mechanical equipment and/or surface instrumentation under supervision in accordance with controlled and documented procedures. This position will be required to complete a probationary period within the maintenance facility. Competent personnel provide a variety of technical duties supporting the quality and reliability initiatives whilst delivering to the operational and functional requirements. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies. Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment. Compliance with HSE policies and procedures. Basic Qualifications Technical diploma, Associates degree or minimum 2 years relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices. Ability to read and understand the English language. Basic skills in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices. Basic computer skills. Desired/Preferred Qualifications Proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments. General technical knowledge in fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices. Other Details Willingness to travel between domestic and international maintenance facilities for training and/or maintenance activities.
