Electromechanical Inspector Specialist
The Electromechanical Inspector will perform a variety of complex inspections to include visual, in-process, dimensional, and final inspection on electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies in support of the new build and field returns on intelligence, surveillance and imagery processing high performance data link systems and products for L-3 Communications - the sixth largest defense contractor in the United States.
Competencies:
The Electromechanical Inspector will inspect a variety of electromechanical products and electromechanical assemblies.
- Demonstrated experience working with military specifications and/or ANSE, and IPC workmanship standards.
- Understanding of the material flow processes applicable to inspection tasks
- Well-informed in the application and use of most small inspection measurement tools, Calipers, Micrometers, fractions and decimals, blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Skilled in mechanical hardware application and inspection.
- Work from oral written instructions with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time.
Education/Experience:
- This position requires a High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in inspection and/or assembly focusing on electromechanical inspection.
- Ability to perform in a team environment with good inter-personal skills
- Commitment to the highest quality achievable.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Suite is required.
Special Requirements:
Due to the nature of our work this position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance (including COMSEC).
Work locations sometimes-near perishable and hazardous chemicals, solder, cleaning solvents, etc.
This position may also require overtime, weekends, and holidays
Position requires ability to lift 40 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time.
This position will require a 9/80 work week schedule for training (minimum 3 months).
