Responsibilities
- Identification of sales opportunities and building relationships with prospects/clients within German language territories.
- Growing and transitioning to existing relationships with German and Swiss based clients.
- Working closely with the Sales team and Head of Sales to develop and implement long-term Sales strategies for Europe.
- Direct selling of the Trading system and other products to buy-side institutions, including crossselling of new functionality.
- Ownership of the entire Sales cycle to include but not limited to:- Creative lead sourcing: financial publications, industry events, client referrals- Cold calling prospects- Qualification- Contract negotiation- Working closely with the General Counsel in reviewing new contracts.- Understanding and communicating the prospect’s trading workflow to all internal parties.- Liaising with Member Services to ensure that all relevant KYC has been completed against agreedtime frames.- Liaising with Implementation to ensure that new members are implemented against agreedtimeframe- Liasing and coordinating with the prospect to ensure they are ready to go live on the system- Guiding the member to trade with Liquidnet over target revenue threshold
- Identification of distinct trading strategies at the various institutions and effectively communicate and demonstrate how the company will be able to assist in supporting the members trading needs.
- Liaising between the member firms and the company’s support team to address and communicate issues as they arise.
- Recommend ideas for new brokerage products and services for European markets on the basis of member/prospect feedback and information from vendors
- Entertaining of clients for lunches, dinners, sporting events etc, which may fall outside of standard business hours
- Extensive and frequent European travel
Qualifications
Essential:
- Must be fluent in German
- Dynamic personality with a proven ability to effectively interact with industry peers
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Global (especially European) Equity markets
- Excellent analytical and communications skills both written and verbal
- Good cross-cultural expertise to effectively interface with multiple departments in Europe, US and Asia
- Proven Sales experience
- Experience of creating Sales initiatives
- Excellent analytical and communications skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent people skills? Proficient presentation skills
- Understanding of the regulatory environment for electronic and alternative trading systems in Europe
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Desirable:
- Knowledge of other European languages is highly desirable, preferably French
- Existing relationships and/or trading experience within the Institutional Equity trading space is highly desirable.
- Sales/Relationship Management experience out of an ECN, ATS or brokerage related company
