Electronic Product Engineer Job in Hayward 94542, California US
The Judge Group has an immediate need for an experienced Product Engineer for a long term contract opportunity in the San Francisco area.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
· Product Engineer (Laser chip) with characterization and design of test environment
· Develop a laboratory setup and implement a characterization plan for high-speed devices (CMOS and photonics devices), including high-speed (sub-ns) high dynamic ranges (50 dB) measurements.
· Board-level design of analog and digital printed circuit boards to drive high-speed pulsed lasers (~nanosecond pulse widths)
· Work with outside supplier to define electrical interfacing between custom high-speed imager and external systems (benchtop test system and production system)
· Hands-on lab experience characterizing high-speed circuits, preferably photonics devices (e.g., high data rate (Gbps) VCSELs and/or laser diodes)
· Experience with high-speed/high-frequency board-level design (preferably Gbps VCSEL drivers, e.g. for optical interconnects).
