Electronic Technicians needed for Gainesville, FL! Summary: Under general supervision, performs a variety of complex technical tasks with electronic systems. Will assist engineers with fabricating and assembling electronics subassemblies for prototype models from schematics, rough sketches, and verbal instructions. May perform calibration checks on electronic instruments. Will troubleshoot and problem solve an electronic system to determine cause and remedy for malfunctions. May provide work leadership to lower level technicians. This is a senior level position where work is distinguished by its technical complexity and diversity. Duties and Responsibilities: - Use schematics or blueprints, wiring lists, and verbal and written instructions to assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble units. - Perform basic electrical testing. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Ability to follow directions. - Manual dexterity with hands and tools used in assembly operations. - Moderate understanding of hand tools required for assembling electronic components (e.g. soldering iron, pliers, wire strippers). - Previous experience with use of measurement devices (e.g. calipers) and testing devices. - Ability to use analyzers to troubleshoot equipment. - Candidates should have the ability to assemble, solder, use basic hand tools to put together electronic devices, use network analyzers to troubleshoot, test and tune the devices during production. Experience/Education: Prior experience with medical devices preferred. 1-3 yrs electronic manufacturing experience - MUST COME FROM A MANUFACTURING SETTING - NOT A FIELD SERVICE ROLE. Prefer an AS degree in Electronics or equivalent military or industry experience. 2 positions for 1st shift Pay: $13.00/hr Only local candidates will be considered as no relocation or per diem is available.
