Posted Position Title: Electronic Technician - 2nd Shift Career Level: Experienced Function Manufacturing Function Segment: Shop Operations Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Texas City: Houston Postal Code: 77032-3411 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose: The Electronic Technician - 2nd Shift reports to the Maintenance Supervisor: Essential Responsibilities - Troubleshoot, identify and effect repairs on production equipment - Make minor mechanical repairs and adjustments on equipment and request repair parts as needed - Make electrical / electronic adjustments and repairs on all machinery and equipment used in production departments and request repair parts as needed - Regularly inspect and evaluate equipment to ensure the equipment is operating efficiently and safely, following a schedule and maintaining records of machine status and maintenance requirements Assist and direct in the moving and placement of machinery as needed - Under direction of maintenance leadership direct the duties and provide training to other maintenance personnel - Demonstrate the ability to work safely, proactively identify and correct safety issues - Cooperate in any other related job requirements - Must comply with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines - Work on new and existing electrical installations Qualifications/Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED - Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the maintenance field ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to use prints, manuals, sketches and specifications, shop mathematics and the use of a variety of precision measuring instruments - Ability to read and comprehend complex machine manuals, prints and extract needed information to effect timely repairs - Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
