Description:
One of San Diego's major manufacturers for Industrial Turbines currently has openings for Electronics Technicians and Mechanics to take on the roles of Quality Test Technician or Structural Package Mechanic.

This Electronics Technician will be required to Install, Level, Set-Up, Prepare and Operate gas turbines, diesel engine gas compressor, package system, control console, microprocessor control, Subassembly, component and/or accessory in test cells, fixtures or in special test beds.

The Electronics Technician will also connect test equipment such as, electronic harnesses simulators, filters, lines, dynamometers, slave generators, instrumentation and other electronics test equipment necessary to the test electronic and mechanical operation.

Conduct "Green Run" and Final performance acceptance test of gas turbines and gas compressors; perform production and first article electronic tests to measure characteristics of packaged systems, electronic controls and electronics and non-electronic subassemblies, and electronic components while working from various electronic drawings, electronic specifications, and electronic operational procedures and oral instructions.

Requirements:
3-5 years Electronic Technician, Mechanical Assembly, Electronic/Mechanical Test Technician, and/or Inspection experience is preferred.

Follows verbal and written Electrical and Mechanical instructions such as Electronic/Mechanical Blueprints, Electronic/Mechanical Assembly Layouts, and Electronic/Mechanical sketches to complete a wide variety of Electrical or Mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Performs Electronic/Mechanical Quality Checks and participates in problem identifications and resolutions.

Able to train lower level electrical technicians and mechanical assemblers and sets a positive example with peers.

Due to the nature of the products produced, must be a authorized to work in the United States.

Knowledge of electronic color codes, electronic components identification, and understanding of electronic production prints.

Able to lift 10-20 pounds throughout the day; sits for long hours.

Able to read and understand Electronic/Mechanical Blueprints, Electronic/Mechanical Wiring Diagrams, and Electronic/Mechanical related instructions.

Ability to perform Electronic and Mechanical assembly calculations
Requires high school education or equivalent
