This is a leading client-focused broker providing products and services to asset managers and financial intermediaries globally, having offices in 22 cities throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.
- Due to their continued growth and a significantly increased demand for their products, they are seeking a top-level Sales professional to work out of our Hong Kong office. The current role will be Director/ VP of Sales – Asia, with revenue responsibility covering all of Asia with the view of building out a small team.
Job Functions:
- This role will provide an exciting entrepreneurial opportunity for a professional and hungry salesperson, as you will be accountable for driving sales within the Asia market. You will also work closely with a number of groups including Marketing, Consulting, and Product Management to ensure consistency of product messaging to the buy side.
- You must be comfortable interacting with Traders, Portfolio Managers, and Directors of IT at hedge funds and institutional money managers and be much focused on new business. In addition, you must be passionate about sales, have proven experience growing business-to-business sales, and want to work for an international growing company.
- Coordinating trade Transitions and Program trades across Asia markets covering a multitude of financial products / asset classes.
- Manage and execute transitions for clients including Pension Funds, Corporates and Asset Management Firms
- Advise clients, portfolio managers, and risk managers on trading strategies, market conditions and risk management with regard to their portfolio transition.
- Adapt or “tweak” the firm’s product offering to fit the needs of the client, and the particulars of the client’s transition
- Support senior management, partners and managing directors for their trips across Asia
- Preparation of road show pitch books, client training and presentations, monthly and quarterly investment performance reviews, and ad hoc meetings with investment teams
- Involvement in various firm wide initiatives and projects
Qualifications:
- You should have 2-7 years of Business-to-Business sales experience in a vendor or on the sell side and have a financial services background.
- Asian languages are a plus but not essential.
- The right candidate will possess the ability to work efficiently on his or her own, have strong sales drive, be enthusiastic, and exercise excellent communication skills. Accordingly, we seek a focused individual capable of working with a highly motivated team to drive our business forward.
- Direct experience in Transition Management is a plus.
