Ideal candidate will possess 8 years of experience as an Electronics Technician with demonstrated expertise and successes involving the selection, procurement, and hands on installation, use, training, and operation of: electrical circuits, electronic components, motor drives, machinery electronics, PLCs, circuit boards, computers, data acquisition, electronic measurement and monitoring devices, facility power requirements, and facility HVAC systems. Also the demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair such systems with the ability to custom design, build, and troubleshoot special test equipment controls and control devices. Familiarity with load cells, pressure transducers, and temperature sensors.

- Associates degree in Electrical or Electronics preferred or equivalent work experience

- Support the Product Test Lab, Analytical Lab, Materials Lab, Advanced Technology Dept., and Building Maintenance Dept. personnel involving all electrical and electronic related problems and activities as needed and requested.

- Contact and coordinate all electrical and electronic related repair work with outside contractors and utility services including bids, cost estimates, and assistance as needed for major equipment, machinery, telephone, and HVAC repair when needed.

- Determine electric power requirements and materials required for all new equipment, specify and procure all necessary components and install as needed.

- Contact and coordinate work required of all outside electrical contractors for major equipment, machinery, and HVAC installations.

- Respond to all power failures at the facility and perform or direct all work necessary to get the facility's equipment and communications up and running as needed.

- Working with the facility's Safety Coordinator, be aware of and assure that all electrical safety requirements related to the facility and its operations are in compliance with all MIOSHA regulations.

- Perform and maintain documentation on all required electrical equipment related safety inspections.

- Direct all upgrade activities required to bring existing electrical and electronic equipment into compliance with MIOSHA standards when unsafe conditions are discovered.

- Provide assistance and recommendations, when requested, to the various Lab and Department personnel in designing and specifying the requirements for data acquisition systems, test stand control systems, and other special customized instrumentation systems; and when possible, build the systems and control units in house, providing documentation of components and circuit diagrams.

- Maintenance of building facility layout and electrical schematic drawings.
