Electronics Technician

NOTE: There may be more than one position and the work could be part time or full time.

Upon successful contract award, this position would support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport Washington. This position is governed by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Successful candidates would be involved in various aspects testing and repair of limited complexity electronic assemblies, subassemblies, cards and power supplies. The position will troubleshoot, repair, modify, and overhaul limited complexity electronics equipment down to the component level. The position will support manufacturing, repair, troubleshooting, and refurbishment of electronic hardware including cables, circuit card assemblies, test sets, gyros and other miscellaneous equipment. Operations will be performed utilizing Government software, shop orders, engineering procedures, drawings, specifications, established shop practices, ISO instructions, and local policies. Training and certification shall be consistent with, or exceed, Navy standards. Technician names shall be documented as objective evidence that critical steps and essential data collection were accomplished.

Required Skills:

1. Exclusive US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance immediately upon hiring. Failure to obtain some form of Secret clearance upon hiring will result in immediate termination.

2. Education required: High School diploma/GED with 9 years of related experience

3. Experience working with electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, and components

4. Demonstrated ability to perform electronic component disassembly, cleaning, rebuild and test IAW written procedures

5. Ability to lift, handle and carry up to 50 pounds

6. Experience using MS Office Suite/MS Outlook and other computer based applications

Preferred Skills:
1. Additional Education: Associates Degree with 7 years related experience

2. Experience performing typical depot electro-mechanical repairs and troubleshooting using procedures, schematics, drawings on a variety of components.

3. Experience with testing, alignment, troubleshooting of complex analog, digital electronic systems, and power supplies using Universal Power Supply manual test stations, INTERPRO Power supply test station, Teradyne Spectrum test set, DTS-70 Digital Test Station, Teradyne L393 Digital test station, Teradyne L210 digital test station and ATS-80 Automatic test stations.

4. Experience with electronic cleaning operations

5. Ability to communicate and consult with trained personnel to identify and resolve failures in a timely manner

6. Experience performing routine preventative maintenance on tests sets and shop equipment

7. Hazardous material handling training and experience

8. Demonstrated performance as an effective member of a successful team
