This role is a part of Salmat Digital where you will be responsible for the coding of HTML emails. The email producer ensures that customers' emails are dynamic, efficiently coded, and render correctly across a wide variety of email clients.
Responsibilities:
- Upon receipt of customer approved creative assets, conduct the following activities:
- Prepare Photoshop files as required, slicing/resizing images
- Build emails using Salmat Digital's templates and guidelines
- Create HTML emails using HTML and inline CSS, content blocks and tracking tags
- You will upload emails to the email software platform
- Run email tests to ensure cross browser compatibility
What you will need to succeed:
- You will have advanced knowledge of Dreamweaver
- You will have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- A good understanding of design fundamentals, such as type, colour, layout and imagery creation/optimisation
- Strong experience in hand-coding HTML and CSS
- Basic knowledge of databases, programming and scripting languages
- A commitment to quality in actions and decisions
- Great attention to detail
- Strong understanding of html design in particular using tables
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently in a high pressure environment working to strict and at times short deadlines
- Experience in email design, development and testing is an advantage
An understanding of the digital market and how social networking impacts the business would be highly regarding, as would any previous experience in an agency environment.
