Embedded Control (Operational Risk) Mgr. recruitment

The incumbent serves as the senior most risk management executive supporting The Dreyfus Corporation. The incumbent is responsible for implementing and directing the risk management framework at Dreyfus, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments, key risk indicators, risk reporting, escalating operational risk events, money market fund net asset value escalation, money market fund stress testing, and reconcilement monitoring. The incumbent advises senior management on the risks of new products, new processes, new business acceptance, and new strategic initiatives. The incumbent facilitates the analysis and implementation of new controls following operational risk events, missteps by competitors, or in response to detailed process reviews conducted by members of the Dreyfus Risk Management Department. The incumbent supports Dreyfus RFP and due diligence processes, including meeting with clients and prospects to describe the firms risk management processes. The incumbent coordinates Dreyfus response to Corporate Risk initiatives, scenario analyses, and certain regulatory inquiries and examinations. The incumbent is also responsible for understanding and monitoring trends and changes to the risk based economic capital allocated to Dreyfus as a part of BNY Mellon's Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP). The incumbent chairs the Dreyfus/CIS Risk Committee and is responsible for continuous monitoring and assessment of Dreyfus risk exposures and the strength of the control environment.

Undergraduate degree (business, finance, economics) required.Graduate Degree (business, finance, economics) preferred.

Minimum fifteen years directly relevant work experience, including at least 10 years in a senior risk management, asset management, or operations role.
