Embedded / Firmware Engineer Job in Portland, Oregon US
Our Portland, OR client has an immediate need for Senior Embedded / Firmware Engineer
You will have a strong understanding of embedded system design, including FW and EE components
Experience with consumer products and/or audio (wireless, Bluetooth, etc.) is a big plus
BSEE, BSCE, BSCS is a plus
Responsibilities
Develop prototypes and/or proof of concept demos to evaluate and communicate new concepts
Design, implementation, and verification of EE/FW components required for new product concepts, prototype, and product development
Develop FW requirements, user interface specifications, and engineering validation test (EVT) plans
Work closely with suppliers, design partners, and factories to meet cost, schedule, and customer experience requirements
Experience in using MatLab, Labview and audio simulation tools is a plus
Requirements
5 to 7 years of embedded / firmware system design
Translate marketing requirements into a high level specification, system block diagram, and core EE/FW feature specifications
Proficient in FW design and development, including validation methods, C, C++ programming, debug, source code configuration and release management, and defect tracking
