EMEA Business Process Re-engineering Team Lead recruitment
The role will include building sponsorship for BPR in EMEA, defining the scope of specific programmes and projects, driving execution on specific projects, including facilitating lean workshops, analysing quantitative and qualitative information and leading change in a multi-stakeholder environment.
The EMEA BPR team also has a matrix reporting relationship into the EMEA Corporate Services Expense Management Group that is part of a global function created in 2008 with the mandate of reducing costs and implementing best in class expense management practices. This function establishes governance frameworks, originates, delivers and tracks savings initiatives as well as driving transparency efforts. The incumbent will provide governance and oversight for EMEA OT Functions running re-engineering programmes and ensure appropriate education and awareness of re-engineering principles across Citi/OT EMEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage key business and functional sponsors to enhance the pipeline for Business Process Re-engineering in EMEA
- Identify potential re-engineering initiatives based on the business/functions priorities, in partnership with EMEA management.
- Engage senior process owners for each project, locally or globally as required, and gain stakeholders buy in for projects.
- Drive project execution by leading re-engineering workshops (including the use of Lean principles), analysing quantitative and qualitative information, conducting pilots and other delivery activities.
- Engage and lead a high performing team of direct reports and business cohorts on a variety of change engagements.
- Drive change by challenging the status quo, and see the change through to benefit realization.
- Educate teams in re-engineering tools, techniques and principles.
- Provide governance oversight and training for regional re-engineering cohorts in businesses and functions.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience of delivering multi-million dollar enduring re-engineering saves in a complex, multi-national banking environment; institutional banking experience preferred.
- Expert knowledge of business process re-engineering tools, principles and application, particularly Lean or Six sigma, is required
- Very strong leadership, influencing and change management skills are essential.
- Very strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in multiple locations, including senior managers
- Ability to convince senior management, motivate and manage large teams, especially in a workshop situation
- Strong project planning, organizational skills
- Ability to identify root causes of complex problems and articulate these clearly to senior management
- Ability to think strategically and balance long- and short-term operational priorities
- Self-motivated with resilience and determination to see a task through
