EMEA Collateral Treasury Analyst recruitment

The Collateral group plays a front line role in managing the credit risk exposure of the bank, supporting the OTC Derivative business within the EMEA region. Products covered include Debt, Credit and Equity Derivatives, FX and Commodities.

The teams’ daily functions include issuing daily margin call, responding to received margin calls, reporting provisions, booking margin flows, cash and securities, funding, interest analysis, inter-company collateral bookings, cash and stock reconciliations, dispute reconciliation and project initiatives.

Significant industry and regulatory focus in the area has encouraged adoption of “Best Practices” and standardised dispute resolution, in addition to the daily margining requirements the optimisation of the collateral posted and received has senior business level attention, and is an area of focus for the group.

The team works very closely with the Front office, Middle Office, Finance, Technology and Operations as well as other teams in support areas such as Legal and Credit.

We are looking to recruit an individual with expertise in MS Excel, MS Access and a good knowledge of VBA.  The candidate should ideally have knowledge of derivative products and collateral.

Reporting to the Cash Treasury Manager, the candidate will have regular interaction with funding partners, Accounting Control, Finance and Project Managers tasked with managing the Collateral system transition.

Key responsibilities are

• Preparation of management information

• Preparation of the global collateral funding requirements pertaining to EMEA currencies for BAC and MLCMB entities.

• Timely escalation of all breaks to management team which exceed 5days or that exceed US$ 1mio (or currency equiv)

• Monthly GFCM reconciliation and sign off of accounting lines

• Key Control Standards maintained

• Process efficiency identification

• Client relationship development and maintenance (both internal and external)

•          Liaise with other parts of business and provide first class service

•          Understand the impact of transactional processing and reconciliation items on other parts of business

•          Demonstrate depth of knowledge of the collateral process

•          Knows and remains current regarding federal, state and local regulations, statutes and laws that govern the protection of uninsured bank deposits of publicly funded clients

•          Possesses expertise in the requirements of his/her assigned function

•          Stays up-to-date with trends and developments in his/her area of responsibility

•          Teams with collateral management group to share knowledge and resources as well as coordinate and cooperate with the group to ensure BAC's optimal collateral management
