EMEA FICC Product Control
They are looking to take on someone to head up their EMEA Fixed Income Commodities team. The FICC team consists of 5 direct reports in London. Geographically team consists of 15 people across EMEA.
Responsibilities include:
Accountable for the delivery of a standardised and fit-for-purpose PL reporting framework for the region
Accountable for ensuring adherence to the Bank's Financial Control Framework within team
Responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to clients faced, including decision support
Responsible for and approval of the analysis and assessment of new products for business faced.
Responsible for responding to ad-hoc requests from stakeholders (internal and external)
Accountable for the closing of monthly books for supported business.
Accountable for providing timely, accurate and strategic support to the Business heads (incl PLs)
Responsible for signoff to Legal Entity Control on relevant Business results
Accountable for provision of submissions to the regulatory team or the corporate centre as required
Supports management reporting and financial control team
Accountable for considering operational risk and its implications when driving commercial and entrepreneurial outcomes
Accountable for team compliance with the financial control framework
Identifies and drives improvements in the implementation of the financial control framework across areas of responsibility
Accountable for addressing control weaknesses to reduce the potential for operational incidents
The Ideal candidate needs have:
In depth Product Control experience
Broad knowledge and understanding of financial market products, including physical markets.
The Ability to work with team members across geographies is essential.
Responsible for team engagement and satisfaction
Responsible for own career development and talent management
Ability to develop and manage relationships with management, traders, settlements and finance staff
Confident and articulate communicator
Strong team player
