EMEA FID Sales Client On-Boarding

Group Description

The Client On-boarding Group sits within Fixed Income Sales Management and is responsible for efficiently enabling clients to transact with Morgan Stanley. The group interacts directly with clients to ensure that we have all the information from them that we need to set them up on our platform and represents the interests of Sales to our internal account opening process stakeholders including, but not limited to, Credit Risk Management, Documentation, Enterprise Data, Operations and Legal. This position requires strong relationship management, organizational and communication skills in order to have a successful commercial, relationship and control impact on the process.

Knowledge about the Firm's products and services and understanding how and when to introduce relationships to other departments are of paramount importance to draw the client closer to Morgan Stanley.
The Client On-boarding Group is responsible for establishing and implementing procedures and controls related to account opening. The Group is also responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline the on-boarding process and enhancing current technology in order to effectively capture and manage client relationship information and reference data.

Role Description:

• Accountable for full follow through from initiation of account request to completion.
• Supervise the initiation of client accounts via online web-tool.
• Supervise the communication with clients to procure necessary information and documents for use by internal teams.
• Coordinate with Sales to prioritize account requests and communicate amongst internal groups.
• Act as the Sales escalation point for internal groups.
• Monitor the progress of all account openings and document (ISDA/CSA) negotiations for relevant FID Sales teams and keep them and the clients updated on progress.
• Proactive involvement in the ISDA/CSA negotiation process including the prioritization of items on the agenda for risk meetings and escalation to SRMs and senior management.
• Build relationships with key decision makers at the SRM clients and manage the on-boarding relationship proactively; to include, client visits, reconciling sub-account lists, advanced warning of launches, issue management and obtaining feedback on our performance.
• Work with Sales and SRM clients to ensure maximum account coverage.
• Advise clients and internal stakeholders on emerging issues, troubleshoot problems and collaborate on solutions.
• Provide regular reporting and verbal updates to SRMs and relevant heads of EMEA FID Sales teams.
• Manage team members including contractors.

Skills Required

• Strong understanding of Morgan Stanley clients and products.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal with Sales and Trading, all levels of the client organization and representatives from Morgan Stanley infrastructure teams.
• Exceptional problem solving ability.
• Understanding of the firm's structure and ability to identify opportunities to utilize firm resources to meet the client's needs.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Proven client relationship skills.
• Team Management.
• College/University degree or equivalent with a business focus and relevant/proven experience.
