EMEA Operational Risk Director recruitment
* Governance roles:
o Face off to FSA through OR Close Continuous meetings, and any other OR related discussions
o Chair or member of key internal OR committees e.g. Risk Committees, Capital Committees
* Ensure compliance with current and developing OR regulations.
o Review and interpret consultation papers and guidance notes from FSA/CEBS/Basel
o Respond to consultation papers/guidance notes
o Analyse UK framework, systems processes against published regulations to identify gaps or weaknesses.
o Present recommendations to senior management and appropriate Boards for discussion and prioritisation
* Work with Risk leads to deliver on priorities agreed by senior management and Boards
Skills required:
* Experience of risk and control environment through operational risk / business risk management, or internal audit / compliance role.
* Highly organised, with proven project delivery within financial services firm.
* Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
* Experience of assessing and managing operational risks.
* Good understanding of other areas of risk.
* Ability to build strong working relationships with central and business aligned functions across the region.
