EMEA Operational Risk Manager recruitment
The successful candidate will Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring risk based programs across EMEA to identify, assess and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events, while maintaining a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this role are:
- Act as the EMEA Operational Risk “Champion” through actively engaging stakeholders inside and outside of the EMEA region.
- Providing Risk Controls Self Assessments (“RCSA”) services to cover all EMEA activities.
- Providing an Operational Risk Consultancy service including engagement in new initiatives and establishing monitoring / testing programs.
- Acting as a Corporate Risk Management Programmes (“CRMP”) representative and liaising with local expertise to develop EMEA programs to demonstrate appropriate controls are in place to comply with corporate policies.
- Working with corporate risk management tools to ensure an accurate representation of the risk profile of the EMEA region is being reported.
- Manage the EMEA Operational Risk team.
- Support the operation of the EMEA governance structures and attend appropriate governance committees.
- Represent EMEA Operational Risk in meetings with internal audit and regulators.
Skills/Experience Required:
- An excellent understanding of Operational Risk Management techniques.
- Practical and pragmatic in developing a balanced approach to risk mitigation.
- Experience in dealing with all levels of management including the ability to influence senior management.
- Strong academic profile.
- Strong presentation / communication skills.
- Strong IT competency with the ability to develop tools to support the business.
- Extensive experience of operational risk or audit, including prior experience in a team leader/ management role.
