EMEA Payments Product Manager – Global Product Management – London recruitment

Responsibilities

The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:
• Oversee the day-to-day product management of European regional payments across multi-currency payment platforms and branches.
• Provide Europe specific payments expertise in the development of new multicurrency payment solutions and expansion into European markets.  Develop or build on expertise of local clearing (high and low value) in these markets.
• Working with product managers, Operations and Technology to build requirements that are market specific for the channels that deliver or report regional payments.
• Contribute to projects impacting multicurrency regional payments working with product management partners in defining and implementing a build out strategy for our International branch payments going forward.
• Work with risk and compliance teams to ensure all regional compliance requirements are defined, documented, and achieved (by country).  E.g. Payments Services Directive.
• Work with sales on complex customer solutions and responsible for Market Launch of new services.
• Work in partnership to coordinate product implementation including coordination of other resources such as technology, service and implementation,  legal, vendors, etc. while ensuring programs adhere to compliance/privacy regulations, in-country regulations and bank policies.
• Works with International Operations and Customer Service to develop/document guidelines, procedures, and forms used in the requirements development process.
• Contribute to the development of product positioning through enhancements, pricing, targeted promotions and communications.

The Key responsibilities of the Europe Regional Payments Product Manager will include:

• Day to day product management responsibility for payments products/services (such as SEPA, BACs and Faster Payment Solutions) delivered to customers on behalf of Wells Fargo business lines.
• Develop phased strategies for regional payments.
• Working closely with sales and relationship teams in local markets in order to gain a thorough understanding of customer business requirements, and translating these requirements into new products or service enhancement opportunities as part of overall global strategy. 
• Working with operations and customer service teams to develop and document standard procedures and guidelines applicable in each market.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Existing extensive European Regional payments experience is essential, preferably gained in either a product management or operations role.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of global financial market practices across multiple regions including, but not limited to, detailed knowledge of payment instruments, payment types, Regulatory and compliance issues, information reporting and origination channels, international clearing systems operations and foreign exchange practices.
• Possess strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into specific business requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative and strong customer-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office, including PowerPoint.
• Degree educated or equivalent.
