This role is within the EMEA Securities Clearing Settlement team, which forms part of the Securities Utility. The functional remit of the team covers Top Tier Client Settlement Services, Fixed Income, Cash Equity, Prime Brokerage and Stock Borrow Loan settlement

The Departments main stakeholders are the Equity, Swap, PB, SBL and Fixed Income Business, Trade Support, Operations Management and Risk Control. In Global Markets where margins are ever decreasing, Our client can distinguish itself from its competitors by offering superior after sales service.

One of the most critical focus areas for the department this year is the continuing development and improvement of our client service offering.
The team consists of 23 FTE; however the key remit of this role will be to work with the client account management teams and managers, as well as the regional and global functional head to assist with the ongoing work to build on the departments capability and service delivery in this area

The role will focus on supporting the Regional Functional Head for the Department in delivering against the client objectives laid down in the operations strategic vision. Tasks will include but not be limited to:
• Candidate will be expected to take ownership of driving the functional client agenda linked to objectives within the Priorities for Securities
• Coordinate and implement Client Strategy for Securities Settlement, including approach to Industry Surveys (ZYEN, ISF, Global Custodian)
• Key face-off to Prime Brokerage Account Management and CAST team for settlements.
• Manage PB Client Aligned Settlements (CAS) and Client Aligned Settlements Service (CASS) teams both on and offshore, including regular 1-2-1s with team managers and regular team meetings
• Maintain Client Relationships through a level of relationship management for key clients that is aligned to Business segmentation, and regular face-to-face client visits
• Manage PEx and Client Initiative leads and drive forward PEx projects which have a direct client impact
• Ensure that culture of continuous improvement centred on client service is developed within the department
• Understand current state of client MI requirements across products and drive forward improvements and approach

The candidate will be of high calibre with both securities and client service experience and will be responsible for independently driving many of these initiatives whilst ensuring that the function is compliant with global client service mandates.

It is an excellent opportunity to interface with a wide cross section of internal and external clients and will ensure a thorough understanding of the operational process. The individual will also be given scope to develop key skills such as team working, managing client relationships and project management. The individual will be expected to demonstrate a high level of drive and commitment in all aspects of the role.

Requirements;
Degree educated preferred
IAQ Affiliate desirable
Knowledge of any of the following languages would be advantageous:-
Italian
Spanish
French
German
Late nights and attendance at out of work client related events as business and opportunities dictate
Good communication skills – written and oral
Team orientated
Good time management and organisational skills
