EMEA Senior Community Development Manager recruitment

Job Purpose:

?¢ Citi Community Development (CCD) leads Citi's commitment toward economic empowerment and growth for underserved individuals, families and communities by expanding access to financial products and services and building sustainable business solutions and innovative partnerships.
?¢ This position is responsible for programs in the EMEA region
?¢ To enhance Citi's image and reputation and create a positive business environment with key stakeholders
?¢ To give a business focus to our Citizenship work - to anticipate problems and issues alongside the businesses to ensure we are giving them the most receptive environment in which to do business - both new and existing, entering and exiting.

Job background/ context:

?¢ CCD draws on Citi's global presence to build strong relationships on local, national and international levels with communities and community leaders - including non profit organizations, clients advocates, thought leaders, officials and policymakers - to understand respond to community needs, concerns and opportunities.
?¢ Through partnerships, CCD focuses on promoting responsible finance; financial capability and asset building; neighbourhood preservation and revitalization; access to college education; and small business and mircroenterprise development.
?¢ Together with Citi's businesses, the Citi Foundation, Citi Microfinanace, and Citi Community Capital, CCD focuses on expanding community development through commercial and philanthropic funding, innovative financial products and services, and by collaborating with institutions that expand financial inclusion and services to low income and underserved communities.
?¢ Through targeted programs, technical assistance and engaging the expertise and commitment of our employees, we serve local and global organizations to promoted sustainable economic growth and inclusive development consistent with regulatory and community needs.

Key responsibilities:

?¢ Will identify issues and create, develop, implement and track programmes to meet community relations strategic objectives and business priorities across the EMEA region (e.g. include identifying issues related to business growth and developing innovative programme solutions)
?¢ Develop and expand on community strategies for the EMEA region, leveraging our resources through the Citi Foundation with key stakeholders including as appropriate, employees and NGO's
?¢ Work with Public Affairs Officers (PAOs) in assigned EMEA countries to develop local community programmes
?¢ Senior level manager with business/banking and management experience
?¢ Oversee the strategy of Citi's corporate engagement programmes through EMEA
?¢ Responsible for the communications to and with our internal business heads, the Foundation, Community, political, regulatory, media and other stakeholders on Citi EMEA's work
?¢ He/She will have access to the EMEA Operating Committee strategies in the region and be expected to anticipate business needs and challenges and address them through creative and innovative solutions
?¢ He/She will be involved in supporting the Citi 200 initiative
?¢ He/She will be the face of Citi EMEA

?¢ The role also manages key strategic NGO (Non Governmental Organisations) relationships in assigned EMEA countries
?¢ Work with Public Affairs Officers (PAOs) to communicate the impact of Citi's community relationship strategy to key stakeholders

Skills

FSA : Does this role require FSA registration? - No

Knowledge/ experience:
?¢ Knowledge of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) issues to include Community engagement, volunteering, initiatives is required
?¢ Knowledge of EMEA markets is desirable
?¢ Experience with managing CSR issues desirable
?¢ Develop strategic analysis and solution skills Skills:
?¢ Strong writing and presentation skills required
?¢ Ability to influence key players
?¢ Ability to think and write strategically
?¢ Strong interpersonal skills - including project management and organisational skills
?¢ Strong ability to manage and facilitate multiple projects across geographies
?¢ Commitment to co-operative and collaborative working.

Qualifications:
?¢ College/University education preferred but exceptional understanding of CSR issues will be taken into account
?¢ Past experience of managing CSR programmes on a regional/national level Competencies:
?¢ Clear and effective decision maker.
?¢ Team player - work across channels (Marketing, Communications, Legal, Government Relations ) in EMEA
