EMERGENCY RM RN - CLINIC

As the leader of the health care team, provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Demonstrates performance consistent with the Medical Center Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan of the organization. Remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats co-workers, patients, families, and all members of the health care team with dignity and respect. Essential Functions: The Registered Nurse demonstrates proficiency by exhibiting the following skills, competencies, and behaviors: - Leadership - Nursing Process - Documentation - Clinical Outcomes - Workplace Safety - Patient Care Experience - Ensures clean, orderly, and functional work environment - Team Commitment - Fiscal Responsibility Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Current CA RN license AHA BLS Certification - One (1) year recent (within the last three (3) years) full-time equivalent experience in ED or successful completion of a KP or equivalent ED training program within prior 12 months. - Current ACLS PALS cards required. Preferred Qualifications: - Graduate of approved school of nursing. - At least one (1) year experience as RN in an Emergency Department within the past three (3) years preferred. Notes: - Rotating Weekends. - If twelve (12) hour option chosen, shift will be 7:30 pm - 8:00 am, back up 8 hour shift will be 11:30 pm - 8:00 am. - May be required to revert to every other weekend with 30 notice by management. - May be required to work in triage and as relief charge nurse as needed and after training by the dept. - May be required to assist in the training of new staff members.
