Position
Wellington's Emerging Local Debt (ELD) book of business has grown significantly over the last two years and the firm seeks a Research Analyst to help with the analysis of the twenty plus countries that are now being modeled. The Research Analyst will work as part of a small team to manage the data and information needs of this increasingly important book of business. The ELD investment strategy is relatively new in the firm and thus significant growth opportunities exist, both within the current product range and through product line extensions.

Responsibilities
This individual will participate in the Emerging Local Debt analysis process in several ways. Primary responsibility will be for analytical coverage of twenty plus emerging countries. Other responsibilities will include:

•Run and interpret inflation models and currency models for all countries currently covered, expanding the universe of covered countries as needed
•Manage and perform timely surveillance of existing and new holdings
•Work with Emerging Market Debt Analysts to understand and utilize their credit perspectives related to the ELD book
•Make recommendations and adjustments to models to more fully take advantage of available data
•Interface with the broader community of investment professionals (such as Product Management and Global Relationship Group members) associated with these strategies

Qualifications
•2 to 5 years experience in econometric analysis
•Comfortable working with models in a data intensive environment
•Strong communication skills - both written and oral
•Ability to work well in a small team environment, taking on additional responsibilities as required
•Previous experience working at a multilateral agency a plus
•PhD or other related advanced degree a plus
