Emerging Markets Equities – Long/Short Hedge Fund
A globally – renowned blue-chip Hedge Fund with international offices spanning the leading financial hubs internationally, is looking to build upon the recent success of its Global Emerging Market equities team, by hiring a strong Long/Only GEM Analyst.
The fund recently appointed a new Head of Emerging Markets and this well-respected former Senior Fund Manager of two top Long/Short Hedge Funds is keen to build out his team, so this is a really exciting time to be speaking to such a major Investment Management fund.
Key traits from successful candidates will highlight a particularly keen interest in the CEE/CIS and/or Asian equities region with relevant experience and detailing generalist sectoir coverage on a long term value bias
Key responsibilities you will undertake on a day-to-day basis
- Actively carrying out autonomous research on emerging market and sector specific investments and stocks
- Taking on a fundamental, bottom-up approach to stock picking so you have thorough and in-depth knowledge of the investment sphere
- Gathering and presenting research to highly-regarded and successful Fund Managers through powerpoint and vocal presentations
- Researching and Modelling stock selections through key analysis and due diligence
This is an ideal opportunity for GEM Equity Research Analysts to join an expanding Hedge Fund which has seen constant capital growth and top quartile performance year by year since inception nearly a decade ago.
You should apply to this Equity Analyst role if you are:
- Buyside Experienced – the Hedge Fund will only look at experienced people from current analyst roles at Hedge Funds or Asset Manager’s
- Confident to add value to the desk both in research and performance.
- Stable record of employment showing a clear progression of responsibility.
- A decisive stock selector in order to be comfortable making decisions using qualitative and fundamental research. Experience of the GEM equities is essential.
- Capable of writing concise and logically argued research reports in a timely manner, sometimes to tight deadlines.
- Sharp and intelligent in research approach and stock-picking. A minimum 2:1 from University is essential.
- A team player, with sound interpersonal and communication skills.
