As part of the continued growth of our international investment paltform, a new opportunity has arisen on the Global Emerging Markets Equity Team in London for an Analyst to provide research coverage for stocks in Asia and, to a lesser degree, EMEA. Based in London, this individual will partner with the Portfolio Manager on the team to provide alpha generating investment ideas across the regions.

The successful candidate is likely to:

• Have a strong academic background, ideally including a post-graduate and/or professional qualification, e.g. MBA or CFA;
• Have a minimum of 5 years relevant company research experience, ideally gained within the Investment Management industry. This must include experience of analysing companies in Asia;
• Be able to demonstrate a successful track record of picking/recommending alpha generating investment ideas;
• Have a demonstrably strong interest in, and commitment to, both investment management and emerging markets;
• Be a self-starter, with a strong work ethic and the ability to generate investment ideas independently;
• Have excellent communication skills, coupled with the ability to be decisive in the face of ambiguity;
• Demonstrate a well-organized, sensible and systematic research approach;
• Be fluent in one or more Asian languages, ideally including Mandarin.
