EMIR Reporting Analyst

A leading international bank that has a great presence in the UK is currently recruiting for a contract position working on a high profile project. The project itself will be The European Union regulation on derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories EMIR introduces new requirements to improve transparency and reduce the risks associated with the derivatives market. EMIR also establishes common organisational, conduct of business and prudential standards for CCPs and trade repositories.
The overall function of the role will be to manage day to day EMIR UTI management and client service support as dictated by the internal regulatory operating model and the associated obligations that must meet, as directed by the EMIR regulation.

Key responsibilities

• Review completed UTI questionnaires received from clients
• Validate questionnaire completion and liaise with clients to remediate where applicable
• Input data captured in the questionnaires into support systems determining UTI preference clients have selected.
• Daily trade reporting for clients to DTCC
• Proactively seek clients UTI on a daily basis where the client produces the UTI
• Identify trades executed on a e-Commerce platform, source and load the associated UTI’s
• Manage the delivery to and reconcile of UTI back book requests from clients
• Management Information Statistics to design, implement and support the on-going management and distribution of trade reporting statistics
• Trade reporting remediation to create and manage a central log of reporting issues, working with internal departments and the DTCC to resolve
• Manually report trades to the TR if required
• Validate issue client trade reporting reports on a monthly basis
• Record by client any change in trade purpose on receipt of advice from Front Office
• On receipt of an executed terms of business and trade reporting questionnaire working with EMIR Data team communicate live reporting date to clients
• Create filing structure and store executed UTI questionnaires and TOB in dedicated client file
• Working alongside BAU Reference Data team and EMIR Data team action any static data amendment requests associated with EMIR trade reporting and UTI exchange/reconciliation received from clients within 5 business days of receipt

Key skills required

• Experience and knowledge of the EMIR regulation
• Knowledge of the regulatory framework requirements within which a Treasury or Investment Banking Operations operates.
• Works with team members to ensure regulatory obligations are delivered to time and standard
• Understands impacts of on-going regulatory change and how this will impact the existing operating model and control framework.
• User of Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project MS Power Point
• An enthusiastic and self-motivated approach and prepared to adopt flexible working patterns where required to meet challenging deadlines
• Proven communication and influencing skills, both written and oral, to gain agreement with people at all levels and ability to build and maintain relationships
