Emissions Originator, Oil Major recruitment
You will report to the Global Head of Emissions. The Emissions Originator will be responsible for developing a portfolio of emission reduction projects, generating offset credits to compliment the requirements of assets.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the process of filtering competing prospects identified and targeted by the Originators and manage the scheduling and resourcing for selected targets and projects;
- Negotiate through to close, including all required internal processes and approvals, transactions directly with offset project owners or through partnerships or acquisitions that provide indirect access to offset credits;
- Ensure that relevant deal transaction structures, execution options, negotiating and relationship management tactics, risks, rewards and resources timing are considered, defined and appropriately evaluated;
- Work with the wider global team to identify and deploy deal teams and functional and assurance resources in a manner that optimises deal delivery;
- Manage relationships with internal interfaces include legal, compliance, MA, specialists and project management;
- Make appropriate interventions to ensure deals and transactions deliver on both contractual intent and company’s expectations.
- Lead the continued development of origination capabilities within the Singapore team.

Requirements:
• Proven ability to pursue transactions independently whilst part of a closely connected wider team.
• Strong networking, influencing and team building skills.
• Substantial experience in offset project origination.
• Robust understanding of company’s deal governance standards and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
