Employee Relations Supervisor Job in Church Hill, Tennessee Us

RESPONSIBILITIES:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN HUMAN RESOURCES.

The Employee Relations Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

 

o       Develops and maintains employee relations that support our Human Resources Vision and Mission statement and our employee relations plan. 

o       To maintain and continually improve current business relationships with the company’s employee base by providing support and employee relations services. To raise the level of employee satisfaction with the company, while minimizing negative turnover

o       Assesses employee morale through Employee Survey data and provides recommendations for improvements.   Applies techniques pertaining to survey data and Employee Relations programs in accordance with Company policies, procedures and values in keeping with positive employee relations. Participates and stays actively involved in employee communication activities.

o       Advises and counsels management in effective use of rewards and recognition programs to support employee engagement.

o       Provides consultation and direction to management and staff for assigned job groups regarding employee relations activities, conflict resolution procedure, grievances, corrective and disciplinary actions, terminations and other employee matters affecting employee relations    
o  Coordinating or providing training in employment law, union relations, policy and procedures, performance evaluation review and sexual harassment.  
o  Develops and executes employee activities i.e. picnics, recognition events, goal achievements

REQUIREMENTS:

o       5+ year’s experience in Human Resources with a focus on Employee Relations. Prefer manufacturing environment experience.

o       Strong conflict management skills showing the ability to interact effectively with employees and management using appropriate interpersonal styles.

o       Must be able to effectively communicate with all types of employees, which include listening and understanding, as well as, conveying ideas and opinions.

o       Strong negation skills to effectively explore alternatives that gain employee and management support and acceptance to solve employee engagement issues and employee relations problems.

o       Fact finding skills to secure relevant information and identify key issues and relationships from written and/or verbal information

o       Sound knowledge of State and Federal Employment Laws.

EDUCATION:                             

o       Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
