*BBT I Full-time Employee/Tech Qualifications Ability to work in confined spaces, high elevations, and low light conditions, also in inclement weather, with limited supervision. Work will include the installation of video, data and voice services, in residential and commercial settings. Must be able to carry and work off a 28 foot ladder, weighing up to 70 pounds, with a fully loaded tool belt. Shift work, on call rotation, and holidays may be included in the work schedule. Other Requirements Valid driver's license with insurable driving record. Must pass criminal background, physical and drug test. *System Tech Full-time Employee Qualifications Minimum of 5 years as system technician, verifiable with previous employers. Must be able to lift 70 pounds. Ability to work in inclement weather conditions. Ability to work on-call and variable shift work as needed. Forward and reverse sweep experience required. Experience with C-Cor active devices preferred. Headend and fiber experience preferred. SCTE BDS certification or NCTI experience system technician certification preferred. Job Description Baja Broadband is seeking an in-house system technician for the St. George, UT system. An ideal candidate will have a good understanding of industry accepted construction practices as well as experience with sweeping 870 MHZ C-Cor actives, maintaining Alpha XM-2 power supplies, and be well versed with Harmonic fiber transport equipment, including nodes, EDFA's, optical receivers and headend/hub electronics. Positions are located in Utah. Starting date is negotiable. Pay rate details dependent upon relevant experience. Designer / Draftsman Baja Broadband is looking for a person experienced with Lode Data and Autocad to design and complete as built maps for our St. George, UT operation. The candidate must possess the ability to read cable systems maps, build lode data files, design with Lode Data and draft with Autocad. Some field verification and walk out will be required. 5 Years experience required; great benefits and paid holidays. Maintenance Technician Baja Broadband is looking for a person experienced with cable system maintenance for an upgrade of our plant in St. George, UT. The candidate needs to possess skills in splicing, activation, trouble shooting line problems and sweeping/balancing of outside cable plant. The upgrade is planned as a 2 year project, which upon completion could lead to full time employment with the local system.
