Employment Specialist Job in Towson, Maryland Us
Abilities Network is recruiting numerous Employment Specialists to work one on one with individuals with developmental disabilities in locating, obtaining, and maintaining employment in the community. The position will consist of job development, job placement and coaching, as well as consistent communication with outside companies.
Duties include developing positive relationships with employers and securing job openings that match the training, skills, and preferences of the individual served in order to promote community-based independence. Position is based in the community with minimal office time.
Successful candidates must have strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, time management, and negotiation skills. Must have the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and have a strong comfort level with approaching people of all business fields in the community. Must be available to work 40-50 hour work weeks, with evenings and weekends as necessary. Must have transportation to meet the requirements of the position.
