The EMR Implementation Analyst I supports the implementation process of the Sutter Community Connect (SCC) products and associated applications (powered by Epic) from both the application-user and technical perspectives. The EMR Implementation Analyst I will provide support to the build of the application at the practice site, train users in its use and provide technical support prior to, during and immediately following go-live. In addition the EMR Implementation Analyst I will triage and provide assistance to established customers and Help Desk staff. The EMR Implementation Analyst I will work with the IPS Support Team on the SCC application build and functions for which they are certified. The incumbent will follow established, and make recommendations for, standards for data quality, efficiency, practice operations, and data integrity across the various application functional components (e.g., orders, documentation, pharmacy, and templates). This position assists in the critical work of system analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration as well as testing, training and implementation of the product. It is critical this incumbent has an understanding of clinic outpatient operations, along with an understanding of the technical aspects of the applications for which they are responsible.
The EMR Implementation Analyst I reports the Associate Director, Implementation. This position may also receive direction from Sr. Implementation Analysts.
Education
- A bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, the Application area, a related Health Care field is preferred.

The equivalent combination of education, training, application/hardware support, hardware/software installation projects, and hospital/clinic operation experience may be substituted.
Experience/Knowledge:
- 1-2 years related software implementation experience
- Experience supporting the implementation of complex clinical projects that require coordination of resources is required.
- Experience supporting software implementation, using electronic health record products preferred
- 1-2 years experience in provider contracting and/or claims processing preferred.
- Prior experience in managed care and/or billing and accounts receivable a plus
- Certification in Epic and/or Epic Community Connect EHR/PM applications for ambulatory or inpatient at time of hire is desired.
- Clinic or other health care application experience preferred
- Experience analyzing clinical workflow and practice operations.
- Experience the operational aspects of the healthcare industry, including documentation standard, preferred
- Experience working with physicians, practice managers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, preferred
- Experience developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to negotiate to win/win outcomes.
- Knowledge of community-related issues, understanding of competitive strategies and anticipate network needs.
