We are seeking an experienced Engine Management System Calibration Engineer who will be involved in developing a thorough understanding of the client's requirements, the company's common rail diesel fuel injection and engine control system and the engine performance and emissions of the application.

The role will require understanding and interpreting customer requirements for fuel injection equipment and the engine management system; executing or managing rig test, engine test and system calibration activities; liaising with client engineers and managers; short term residency at client premises (e.g. climate test trips); troubleshooting; and supporting engineering and system calibration activities through to production and beyond.

To succeed as EMS Calibration Engineer you should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related subject, with experience of engine emissions and performance development and calibration (diesel preferred).

You will ideally have experience of engine control and fuel injection systems, and calibration tools, and must have current IT knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project etc.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent personal and presentation skills, to enable liaison with internal design/development team and to represent the company to external clients, must be a team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work in a multi-disciplinary group with limited supervision and must be able to work under pressure and manage several tasks at once. You must also be able and willing to work away from home for short periods.
