My client is an extremely highly regarded leader in the Asset Management industry who require a Desktop Support Engineer with Trading Floor Support, Market Data (Bloomberg / Reuters / Factset) and Trading Systems (ie Fidessa), experience for its London based team.
As Trading Floor Desktop Support Engineer, the successful candidate will be expected to provide an outstanding level of IT support to onsite and remote users of varying levels of seniority across the business. The role will involve maintaining the Disaster Recovery environment for each business unit, supporting Traders on the Trade Floor and providing expert systems support for the live trading applications (ie Fidessa). You will also be expected to attain sufficient knowledge of the in-house and third party applications, in order to quickly identify and organise a solution for any related problem, manage or assist with any IT related project as required and work closely with the various relevant internal teams.
You will ensure open issues are passed to appropriate staff at the end of each shift, provide regular status reports to management and ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and accurate whilst ensuring that all helpdesk calls and service requests are logged, processed and monitored according to company procedures and within SLA.
The successful candidate will have Trade Floor Support experience with knowledge of Market Data (Bloomberg / Reuters / Factset) and ideally have experience with supporting a Trading OMS (ie Fidessa).
Technically, you will have a strong TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN and UNIX / Windows Systems background, with strong preference for a CCNA / MCITP and hold a minimum 2:1 Degree (Computer Science or related field) from a Top University.
Due to the nature of the role, exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) are essential, as is eligibility to live and work in the UK.
