Atlanta, GA - The Endoscopy Account Manager (EAM) is responsible for selling all capital and disposable products relating to the GI Respiratory Care call points within his or her designated geographical territory. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing a local business plan which follows the direction of the Medical Systems Group (MSG) goals and directives to achieve maximum product sales and profitability. He/she will also coordinate and direct the activities of the Clinical Endotherapy Specialist and other field support personnel to best serve the customer and drive the business focus for Olympus. * Identify and pursue the capital, disposable and repair service business at the account level by making routine calls to existing customers or new customers. (An Account is defined as end user ranging from individual physician, or clinic, to Free Standing Ambulatory Surgery or Endoscopy Center, Hospital ‑ O.R., G.I. Lab, E. R., etc.).

* Implement the business development strategy for all product groups within the Endoscopy Division by:
- Determining "key" decision-makers, and devising plans to establish Olympus product use in individual, major, and key accounts
- Establishing and maintaining relationships, including Physician end users, Nursing Management and Personnel, and broadening contacts to the highest possible decision making level in accounts
- Understanding and utilizing group contracts whenever possible, assuring appropriate compliance and working in conjunction with Regional and National Account Managers when necessary
- Maintaining a level of performance in a specified territory, which meets or exceeds all the sales objectives established by Olympus for any given year
- Developing and maintaining effective knowledge of the overall GI R business, the evolving healthcare marketplace, financial service offerings, competition, products, services and leveraging strategies

* Utilize all available Olympus resources and develop sufficient product, procedural, and market knowledge to understand the function and use of Olympus products. Provide necessary in-service in support of product's clinical use. Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the needs that Olympus products and value added services meet and how to properly position them for success.

* Attend periodic training classes, national, area, regional, and local meetings, and business related events.

* Interface with many corporate based personnel such as Customer Service, Service Contracts, and Financial Services, and create a team approach to all business dealings.

* Provide necessary and appropriate after sale service to accounts, utilizing each opportunity to discover and pursue additional business.

* Provide input to Regional Sales Directors, Area Vice Presidents, the Marketing organization, and others as requested regarding sales, sales forecasts, competitive activity, group contracted business, and other requested field information.

* Develop and maintain accurate customer information records of key personnel, product usage, and developing opportunities via Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Remain current with the CRM sign on policy.

* Work in close cooperation with the RSD regarding all aspects of territory performance, including overall sales, customer satisfaction, execution of business plan, and reporting mechanism. Develop sufficient opportunities, recorded in CRM consistent with business strategy and territory quota to meet or exceed targets by year's end. Provide an accurate monthly forecast to his/her RSD and invest the appropriate time in each focus category to close forecasted opportunities by month's end.

* Maintain Olympus owned assets securely and provide proper care and maintenance of Olympus demo and sample equipment and accessories.

* Adhere to Olympus Sales Agreement and all company policies and procedures.

* Interface with other Olympus divisions to implement synergistic sales programs.

* Coordinate and direct the activities of the Clinical Endotherapy Specialist and other field support personnel to best serve the customer and drive the business focus for Olympus.

* Perform other related duties as required.

* A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge is required.

* A minimum of 3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience, preferably in healthcare, gastroenterology or endoscopic field, including at least 1 year of sales experience in healthcare, preferably in capital equipment is required.

* Must have a specialized knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, and related diseases of the body where Olympus products might be utilized.

* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office are necessary.

* Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.

* A high degree of initiative and creativity with the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision is necessary.

* Must have a very strong work ethic, be detailed oriented, and very well organized.

* Must be dependable, adaptable, customer focused, and engaged in all aspects of the job.
