Energy Group Credit Analyst: Solar Power Purchase Agreements for Corporate and municipal off-takers recruitment

Provide key credit risk analysis to Senior Management across all facets of the investment decision process. Generate in-depth credit reports and work with other team members to approve and implement transactions. Establish a full credit group also responsible for ongoing credit monitoring of all portfolio positions.  The level of work is considered fast paced professional in nature.  Staff work under limited supervision. This position will report to the head of the Energy Group.

Job Requirments:

The candidate will be responsible for:

-         Developing financial models;

-         Gathering necessary credit related information on all off-takers;

-         Reading financial briefings;

-         Assessing, analysing and interpreting complicated financial information;

-         Preparing formal credit analyses to be presented to the Firm’s credit committee;

-         Undertaking risk assessment analysis;

-         Visiting clients;

-         Keeping company credit exposures within set risk bearing limits;

-         Keeping knowledge of key issues up-to-date (for example legal, market risk and compliance issues);

-         Making recommendations about procedural/policy changes;

-         Establishing and maintaining a credit monitoring capability on all porfolio exposures.

Qualifications:

Qualified individuals must have:

-         3 to 5 years experience working with financial models, performing corporate / municipal credit analysis;

-         Intellectual analytical curiosity, high level of organizational skills, excellent communication skills, enterpernuial aspirations;

-         Must be detailed oriented and be comfortable in a small team environment;

-         Ability to frame and solve a problem quickly without a high degree of guidance;

-         Excellent computer skills required thorough knowledge of Excel and Powpoint;

-         Work week in excess of 40 hours. Ability to make unsolicited outgoing client calls required (in person or/via phone);

-         Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, MBA not required.
