Energy Market Risk Manager
Leading Energy Trading Company seeks Market Risk Manager c.£65k London
My client is a London based energy trading company who have a diverse portfolio covering Power, Gas, and Renewables. The business has undergone a restructure and are proactively growing out and developing their risk management function.
Working closely with the front office and the Head of Risk, you will be at the cutting edge of these exciting new developments and you will play a highly influential role in defining their risk management processes and methodologies moving forward. Demonstrating your expertise within the Energy risk sector you will guide junior team members and be involved as part of the Risk Management committee.
This will require someone with good hands on experience that is able to get stuck in is comfortable developing and running analytical models, and be involved in pricing options, VaR analysis etc.
The following skills a mandatory:
- Proven risk management experience within the Energy Sector
- Highly numerate quantitative academic background
- Risk System improvement expertise
- Previous junior team lead exposure
- Must have right to work in the UK as client cannot sponsor.
